Uniform

At Ling Moor Primary Academy, we have very high expectations that children wear the appropriate uniform for school. The children have a standard uniform that is worn on most days. They also have a PE uniform that should be worn on the days that the children have PE. It is hoped that all pupils will wear our academy uniform which is as follows:

Standard Uniform

Royal blue sweatshirt or royal blue cardigan, green polo shirt, grey trousers or grey skirts and sensible black shoes or sandals (not trainers or boots).

In summer the children may wear grey shorts or summer dresses in light blue stripes or checks. We also encourage the children to wear summer hats/caps for all play times and outdoor games.

Please ensure that your child’s haircut is not of an extreme nature. Hair should be in a style acceptable to the school and of a natural colour. Parents are advised to contact the School prior to visiting a hairdresser if they have any queries regarding acceptable hairstyles.

PE Kit

On the days when the children have PE, in order to maximise learning time, the children need to wear their PE kit to school and for the duration of the day.

Green Ling Moor t-shirts or plain white t-shirts, navy blue shorts and black plimsolls or sensible trainers. Children are able to wear navy jogging/tracksuit bottoms or navy leggings should they choose. Please avoid jogging bottoms with logo's or patterns. They will also need to wear or have with them their Ling Moor sweatshirt or Ling Moor hoodie.

School sweatshirts, cardigans, polo shirts, T-shirts, P.E. kits, reading folders and hoodies can be purchased at Uniform Direct. If you have any questions regarding uniform, please speak to your child’s class teacher or enquire at the office or email us at lingmoorenquiries@prioryacademies.co.uk

Thrift shop

We appreciate that new items of uniform can be very costly. In order to help our Ling Moor Family, we have a well-stocked thrift shop that is accessible to all of our current and future families. It has a range of high quality second hand uniform that has been kindly donated to the Academy. At the thrift shop, you will not find a price list, all we ask is for a small donation. Any funds raised are used to improve the quality of play provision for the children. The thrift shop is typically open after school once per week but a request for items can be made via the Academy email address.
